The vacancies are shared among all 21 Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) in India. - Educational Qualification
· For the post of Technician Gr-I Signal: You must have a B.Sc. in Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/IT/Instrumentation OR a Diploma/Degree in Engineering in these fields.
· For Technician Gr-III Posts: You must have passed Matriculation/SSLC (10th pass) AND hold an ITI certificate in concerned trade (such as Fitter, Electrician, Welder, etc.) OR must have undergone Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA) in the concerned trade.
⚠ Important Point: You should have already cleared and hold the final certificate for the above qualifications by or on 28th July 2025. If you are awaiting your results or are in the final year, you ARE NOT eligible to apply.

- Medical Standards
This is very crucial in a physically challenging job such as in Railways. There is a specific medical standard for every post (A3, B1, B2, C1). They test for general physical fitness and vision levels. Ensure that you are medically fit for the post for which you are applying. If you are medically unfit at the final stage, you will not be selected for the job.
- Nationality
You should be an Indian national, or a citizen of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who migrated to India prior to 1st Jan 1962, or an Indian origin person who has migrated from certain countries. Non-Indian citizens will require an eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India.

Applications are online only. Carefully follow these steps:
- Create an Account: Proceed to the official RRB website of your preference (list provided below). If you already have an existing account from a previous RRB recruitment, use the same credentials. This is the most important step. Your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID provided here CANNOT BE CHANGED LATER. Make sure to cross-check everything!
- Complete the Application Form: Log in and enter all your details – personal, educational, community/category, etc.
· Select ONE RRB: You can apply for only one RRB for a given pay level. Select carefully depending on your choice and vacancies present there.
